ANOTHER ANONYMOUS TESTIMONIAL

Well lets see, everything started out great. They were super nice and helpful. My representative told me as long as my inventory was accurate that my quote was binding. Well my things were in storage so my husband and I spent days going through it and moving things around and repacking. We gave them a 100% accurate inventory list and we were quoted $2400. The dispatcher called and arranged to have our stuff picked up on a Sunday between 10 and 1pm. We lived about 45 mins away so we asked for an hour heads up and so Sunday came along and no phone call by noon so we drove up that way and hung around and no one ever called. We tried to contact them, but no one would answer. If you are working on a Sunday then you should definitely have a 24hour contact number. Monday morning we call them to find out what is going on, and they tell us they had a dispute with the lady's things that they were picking up and that they would call us in an hour to let us know when they would be there. 3 hours later, no one had called so we call back and they tell us they will be there between 4 and 7pm so again we waited around town. The driver finally called and says he was 5/6 hours away at 5pm. Because our storage facility closes they had to pick up the next morning. SO TUESDAY they finally pick up our things, but they told us 10 am would be ok then 5 mins later called back and said it would have to be 9 so my husband went there at 9 and they did not show up until 10. Our agreement with American movers group said that the padding and wrapping of furniture was included, but they sent Statewide relocation to get our things and charged us $350 for wrapping up our TV and China cabinet. I called my representative to dispute those charges and she said it was taken care of. The truck driver never took the charge off and then called to tell us our things weighed over our limit by 1500 lbs.which brought our balance to 4936.10 I tried to contact my representative again, because the quote was supposed to be binding as long as I gave them an accurate list of inventory but she would not contact me back. I called customer service several times to straighten it out and no one would answer or call me back. Finally, I got in touch with someone and they gave me the truck drivers personal phone number and he would not deal with the balance. His job was just to collect at the time of pick up. We have not been able to get in touch with them to dispute charges and the only choice is to pay the guy or he will hold our things and not deliver them...AMERICAN MOVERS GROUP IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!
